COACH NOTES
Gordon is a running back and safety out of Farmingdale NJ and plays for Howell HS. Conner is just under 170 lbs right now and runs a 40 in the 4.5s. He also squats 405 lbs and has a 3.95 GPA.
Gordon showed a glimpse of what he can do In the Shore Conference this season in last years Freehold Borough game. Freehold had probably the fastest team in the conference and when Howell fell behind Gordon got his chance to put his jets on display. The result was an outside run that showed Gordon race outside the defenders and fly up the sideline with a quick 22 yard score.
We expect to see more of that this season now that Conner will get a bigger chunk of the carries. Gordon is also a safety to watch as his 7v7 pre-season work has put teams on notice.
This 22 grad will be 185 lbs and squatting in the mid 400’s by the time he is college ready. The speed of Gordon simply cannot be ignored by college coaches.
